Station 2 Wins Award for Top Innovative Project

Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District is pleased to announce that our new Station 2 took top honors at the 36th annual NAIOP awards, held in Denver on February 23, 2023. The station was named Innovative Project of the Year in the State of Colorado.

BMFPD Station 2 was one of three nominees for the top Innovative Development projects for 2022.

This award goes to show that as a community, we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. Some of the criteria for being nominated included:

1. Effects on the community, such as having a community room for meetings

2. Community fund-raising drive and how much was raised

3. Continuance of operations during major incidents

4. Renewable energy components

5. Challenges and solutions to issues as they arose

The award will be placed at Station 2 and showcased for all to see.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project. We accepted this award on behalf of all of you. It’s quite an honor for a small fire department.
